powders get charged by friction charging with gun tube (turbolators inside the gun) so that a. charged powders can attach to earthed objects b. uncharged powders cannot attach to the earthed objects and will become overspray which will be recycled by cyclone powder collector

| ADVANTAGE | |
|
1. by friction charging, charged powder can attach to difficult areas (corners, interiors, cavities, recessed areas) so that uniform coating is achieved - a cure to Faraday Cage Effect 2. nearly 90% powder can be charged during the first charge: which means a great save of labour time and powder loss due to multiple charging (powder re-charging efficiency will diminish by multiple charges and need to be disposed of because of its extremely low powder re-charging efficiency). Normally, charged powder should not exceed 20% of total powder in the powder tank to maintain a high powder charging efficiency.

CYCLONE POWDER COLLECTOR

This cyclone powder collector can recover 95% of surplus powder. The cyclone uses centrifugal force to separate powder from exhaust air. Surplus powder can be pumped back to the powder container by refeeder unit under the cyclone. The remaining 5% of surplus powder is difficult to be charged (< 5 micron) which is pending for collection by endfilter for disposal to meet your local EPA requirement.

| ADVANTAGES OF CYCLONE POWDER COLLECTOR OVER FILTER CARTRIDGE | |

1. CYCLONE is easy to change: you can blow away old powder with compressed air, no need to change filters 2. CYCLONE can only recover surplus powder which is > 5 micron with fewer surplus powder size differential problem: CYCLONE is better to replenish new powder than FILTER CARTRIDGE3. powder re-charging efficiency will diminish by multiple charges and need to be disposed of because of its extremely low powder re-charging efficiency. Normally, charged powder should not exceed 20% of total powder in power tank to maintain higher powder charging efficiency.
